Outback Odyssey
Open-world hunting across real Australian country. Glass monsoon floodplains for buffalo, stalk sambar on alpine ridges, track camels through red ranges and dive the reef for trevally.
Real places, real terrain
Every region is a real stretch of Australia, about 10 by 10 miles, rebuilt from real elevation data. The Top End comes with the game; the other three download free inside the game when you unlock them with your hunter rank.
The Top End
Mary River floodplains, Northern Territory. Water buffalo, banteng, feral pigs, a problem saltwater croc, and barramundi and bull sharks in the channels.
Victorian High Country
Mt Buller, Mt Stirling and the Howqua River. Sambar stags, red and fallow deer, goats, foxes and brown trout in the rivers.
The Red Centre
West MacDonnell Ranges. Feral camels and donkeys, goats, red kangaroos, dingoes, cats and rabbits.
Ningaloo Coast
Cape Range and Ningaloo Reef. Goats and foxes on the range; giant trevally, Spanish mackerel, coral trout and tiger sharks offshore.
How you hunt
Land and sea
Hunt from the ground, the boat or underwater with a speargun. Animals move most at dawn and dusk, hear your footsteps and smell you from downwind.
Realistic ballistics
Every load has its own velocity, weight and ballistic coefficient. Bullets drop and drift in the wind, and a clean shot on the vitals with the right calibre counts.
Bounties
Take contracts at camps you discover, harvest what you take for the payout, spend it at outfitters, and fast travel between camps.
